Summer Reading

To keep your readers busy this summer, there are a couple summer reading programs available.  Have your students work on these over the summer to earn some prizes while maintaining their reading skills! Visit their websites for more information.

Pikes Peak Library District - Summer Adventure - Build a Better World. You can register today, but the program does not start until June 1.  The library summer reading program has been completely redone this year.  Everything is online.  Students will earn badges by completing different challenges for their particular age group.  An FAQ about the program can be found by clicking here or visiting http://ppld.org/sites/default/files/kids/srp/2017/faq.pdf. Visit https://ppld.beanstack.org/reader365 to sign up today!

Barnes and Noble - Summer Reading Journal - this is a great program that rewards your student with a free book!  Read any eight books this summer and record them in your Summer Reading Journal, write which part of the book is your favorite, and why. Take your completed journal to a Barnes & Noble store between May 16th and September 5th, 2017 and choose your FREE book from the book list featured on the back of the journal. - click here to print your journal and click here for general information on the Barnes and Noble summer reading program! Or visit the Barnes and Noble Summer Reading page by typing in the following: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/b/summer-reading/_/N-rs9
